Intensive Instructor

INTENSIVE-

Join Ashley López in a journey of expression in this 6-hour intensive fusion choreography workshop. All levels are welcome and dancers have the option to perform Ashley's original choreography live at the festival (but are not required to do so). This choreography will include some of fusion's most beautiful stylistic movements and will help you sharpen your musicality, stage presence, and technical skills. Movements will include beautiful isolations, traveling steps, shapes, snakelike sequences, shimmies, and more. Various parts will be offered so dancers may choose options they are most excited about and comfortable performing (example: spins or no spins; floorwork or standing shapes). Be immersed in an experience with a professional performer of over 30 years experience on stage, and a choreographer who is passionate about showcasing the BEST of each of her dancers. Learn all about the choreography creation process, staging, performance preparation, character work and how to most efficiently rehearse for quality  professional performances. Simple costuming guidelines will be announced well before the festival. Students do not need to make a decision on performance until the end of the workshop (where staging will need to be polished.)
