Kami has studied various dance styles throughout her life, but found her true passion, Belly Dance, when she was 18 years old. She has studied cabaret style belly dance then found Fat Chance Belly Dance Tribal Style. She began to perform as a soloist incorporating other styles into her ATS repertoire such as modern, hip hop, jazz and Bhangra dance. After earning her degree in Art with a Minor in Dance from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2005, she decided to pursue her passion full time and since then has performed and taught in over 20 countries. Kami toured with the Bellydance Superstars for 6 years and was a contributing choreographer as well as the director of the Tribal Superstars. She is based out of San Francisco, CA and currently tours the world as a solo artist and occasionally with tours with Beats Antique.

Non-stop Drills Class! Plan to dance hard, sweat and feel energized in this class. We will move through various parts of the body, practice a variety of moment styles and end class with a long, deep stretch. I will take requests for specific movements to practice in this class in advance
GOOEY POP AND LOCK DRILLS AND COMBINATIONS
FRIDAY 2:45PM - 4:45PM
This technique and drilling-intense class will focus on combining smooth and effortless looking pathways contrasted with surprising and unexpected pops and locks. After this high energy class, students will walk away with several versatile combinations that work great for dancing to electronic music or drum solos.

This workshop is all about utilizing space! Layering, turns, foot work, you name it and we are doing it. Get comfortable traveling across the floor while executing smooth isolations. Adding direction, pathway and level changes opens up a whole new world of possibilities within your dance, so let's get stepping.

Overhaul your movement, Kami Liddle style.
Refine movements and transitions so that they are extremely isolated fluid and clean- learn to think and move from the inside out. We will also focus on crafting very subtle micro movements that allow you to move extremely fast while adding a wonderful pop of contrast to your dancing.

Maria Hamer is a long time bellydancer of Pittsburgh, Pa, training tirelessly &
passionately for over 2 decades with some of the most sought after teachers in this
dance form including Jill Parker, Suhaila Salimpour, Helena Vlahos & Aisha Ali.
Her love for bellydance has evolved through many styles over the years. She has
co- directed & helped in pioneering East Coast Tribal companies such as 'Folkloric
inspired' Ghawazee Middle Eastern Music & Dance Ensemble in the mid 90's to the
more theatrical & earthy glamour/contemporary elements of award winning
Zafira Dance Company, active for over 11 years.
She has spearheaded & been a part of many successful events & festivals in the
Pittsburgh areas with shows from big theater stages to small intimate settings.
She's traveled the globe studying, teaching, performing & has collaborated with
some of the most notable dancers in her genre such as: Jill Parker, Zoe Jakes, &
many others. Currently as a solo artist, she collaborates with her sisters Christine
Andrews & Jennifer Imashev as 'The Hamer Sisters' as well as building her student
troupes- Hamsa & EvilEye.

Something Old, something New
Develop new ways to approach almost forgotten movements that have an old history in bellydance. We will discover ways to move bellydance isolations vertically & horizontally with drills that will build new muscle memory drawing from old forgotten styles while layering timing oppositions. After we drill, we will develop steps, stylizations, and personal expression.
