Shatter the expected and let your imagination go wild!

DOUBLE THE VEIL, DOUBLE THE FUN! with Amustela

Friday March 22

9-10:30am

A lesson designed to demystify the use of double veil. Multiple types of fabric can be used for double veil work, however, Amustela will concentrate on the use of semi-circular silk veils in this class. Elements such as how to wrap, unwrap, managing the flow and speed, basic shapes, spins/turns and "Double Veil Personality" will be explored. Participants will complete a short veil choreography to help you remember the technique and the combinations. Handouts will be provided. Some veil experience required.

MAGNOLIA BIO:
Elegant and powerful modern Oriental style is the result of years of dedication to belly dance. Magnolia's performances engage and delight audiences with a mix of classical and modern techniques that include floorwork, double veils, drum solos, and much more!

Magnolia's belly dance education began with classical Egyptian style. Over the last decade, she has expanded her studies to include Persian, Tribal fusion, Turkish, and modern fusion styles of belly dance and is now based in Atlanta. Her skills as a harpist give her a deep introspective connection to rhythm and music. Magnolia's combination of technique, passion, and musicality are why she is becoming a sought after performer and instructor.
